Obituary

Annie L. Fenn Wroten, 96, a resident of Smithdale, MS, passed away at her residence on October 9, 2026.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 11, 2026 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church from 1 PM until services at 3 PM. Bro. Eric Moak will officiate and burial will be at Wroten-Carraway Cemetery. Hartman Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Annie was born on July 9, 1930 in Smithdale, MS to the late Eugene Fenn and Sadie Leake Fenn. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and reading through her collection of books. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and loved the Lord.

Annie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Leroy Wroten; her daughter Clara Wroten McKee; her daughter-in-law Penny Oversby Wroten; two brothers; and one sister.

She is survived by her three children Michael Wroten, Pam Spring (Phillip), and Greg Wroten (Missy); seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one sister-in-law Jo Ann Fenn; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Will Wroten, Clint Spring, Conner Spring, Carter Spring, Ben Wroten, and Shannon Spring.

The family would like to give special thanks to St. Luke Home Health and Hospice and her caretakers Shirley, April, Brianna, and Delacy for caring for Mrs. Annie. They would also like to thank their Mt. Olive Baptist Church family for their prayers and support.
