Barbara Jean McKenzie, 78, of Livingston, LA passed away September 19, 2023 at St. Joseph Carpenter House Hospice in Baton Rouge, LA.

She was born September 21, 1944 in McComb, MS to the late Richard Love McKlemurry and Minnie Gertrude Johnston McKlemurry.

Barbara was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Baker, LA., and graduated from McComb High School, "Class of 1962". She loved to crochet, she enjoyed camping during Easter week at Percy Quinn, she loved spending time with her family; she played basketball during her school years; she owned McKenzie's Tobacco Shop, from which she retired; She was a wonderful, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bobby Carl McKenzie, two brothers, three sisters, one granddaughter Ashley Michelle McKenzie, and two great-grandsons.

Survivors include two sons Bobby W. McKenzie (Michelle), Daniel C. McKenzie; one daughter Cathy A. Avery (Jason); four grandchildren Jeremy M. McKenzie, Alicia N. McKenzie, Melissa D. McKenzie, Jason W. Avery II; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, September 22, 2023 from 10AM – 10:45AM at Hartman-Jones in McComb, MS, followed by an 11:00 AM graveside service at Hollywood Cemetery in McComb, MS.  Rev. Ricky Sinclair will officiate. Services will be under the direction of Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb.
