Mrs. Becky Fitzgerald Rawls, 80, a resident of McComb, died on Monday, September 12, 2022 at the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2022 from 9:00 until funeral service at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Summit. Dr. Larry LeBlanc and Rev. Brad Fitzgerald will officiate.

Mrs. Rawls was born June 28, 1942 in McComb, MS. She was the daughter of the late Alvin Henry and Mildred Love Bacot Fitzgerald.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Arthur "Jimmy" Rawls and one son, Craig Fitzgerald Rawls.

She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and later First Baptist of Summit where she was involved with the Meals of Mercy, Primetime Ministry and her Sunday School Class.

Mrs. Rawls was the former receptionist for Dr. Julian Janes for many years, but her most important job was being "Nah" to her grandchildren, Shelby, Avery, and Sydney. Her granddaughters were the light of her life, and she never missed a cow show, ballgame, or band concert. She loved hummingbirds, cookbooks, lemon pies, and anything yellow.

Mrs. Rawls is survived by one daughter Melissa "Missy" Gipson and her husband, Richard of McComb; three grandchildren, Shelby Love Gipson, Avery Royce Gipson, and Sydney Craig Gipson; her cousin, Barbara Toney of Houston, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Bill Ivey, Pender Johnson, Pat White, Brad Fitzgerald, Rusty McCulley, and Chris Weaver.
