Bennie Alton "Al" McCulley, Jr., 88, of Summit, MS, passed away April 7, 2023 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Center.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Friendship Baptist Church from 11:00 AM until services at 2:00 PM. Rev. EJ Didon will officiate.
Al was born in Summit, MS on January 27, 1935 to Alton McCulley and Eliose Holmes McCulley. He was lifelong member of Friendship Baptist Church. He was baptized at twelve years old in the Clear Creek across from the church.
Al attended Jones Elementary and Summit High School. He worked in New Orleans, and started his own business locally in Summit in 1979 with sales and servicing of vending machines
Al enjoyed the outdoors, spending time fishing, camping, and hunting. Al was an avid square dancer and round dancer. He enjoyed collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia and all kinds of antiques.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bonnie Battle McCulley, a son John Alton McCulley, a daughter Cathy Langhoff, a brother Billy Joe McCulley, a niece Stacy McCulley.
He is survived by his son Joseph McCulley of Summit; son-in-law, Irwin Langhoff; grandchildren Emily Rose, Allyson, Shane, and Jordan; great grandchild Violet; brother Ted McCulley (Joyce) of Denham Springs, LA; sister-in-law Nora McCulley; an aunt Ruby Pray, along with many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Marc McCulley, Michael McCulley, Rusty McCulley, William Weber, Seth Boyte and Steve Weber.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Friendship Baptist Church.
