Betty Jo Greer Boyd, 88, of Jayess, MS passed away January 17, 2024 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Hartman Jones Funeral Home from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM with graveside services to follow in Enon Cemetery at 11:00 AM. (Graveside services will be held at Hartman Jones Funeral Home if inclement weather).  Bro. Jerry Hughes and Mr. Wayne Thornhill will officiate. Hartman Jones Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.

Betty was born in Walthall Co, MS on May 15, 1935 to Kermit Greer and Ora Vergie Thornhill Greer. She attended New Bethel Jesus Name Church.   She worked at Haspel Garment Manufacturing in Tylertown as a talented seamstress, in her later years she worked at the Topeka schools as a cafeteria worker.  She loved her family and enjoyed the time spent with them and her friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband David Edgar Boyd, and a brother H.P. Greer.

She is survived by her son David M. Boyd (Donna) of Zachary, LA, her daughter Ann Boyd (Tommy) of Jayess, MS, her sisters-in-law Lavoyce Greer of McComb, MS and Mae Boyd of Jayess, MS, along with other relatives and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Roger Boyd, Terry Boyd, Milton Dunaway, and Brad Dunaway.
