Betty Pope Grava Brock, 94 of McComb, MS passed away peacefully on May 4, 2023.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 11 AM to 12 Noon, with services starting at 12 Noon at Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb. Dr. Victor Walsh will officiate and burial will be at Hollywood Cemetery in McComb, MS.

Betty was born on January 4, 1929 to the late Sowell Gordon Pope and Latitia May Mize Pope.

Betty was a retired school teacher who taught for over thirty years in the McComb Public School System.  One of her greatest joys was seeing former students and reminiscing with them.  She was also a member of First Baptist Church of McComb, where she enjoyed teaching a ladies' Sunday School class for many years, and was a faithful member of the Alice Farnham WMU circle.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Jep Brock, and her first husband, George Grava; her parents; three sisters, Robbie Butler, Ruth Lawrence and Ann Wilson; three brothers, S. G. Pope, Jr., Charles Pope and Major Pope; and one daughter, Marsha E. Grava.

She is survived by three daughters Becky Grava Davis (R.B), Susan Grava Clark (Buford) and Bae Brock Waller (Eddy); five grandchildren Ben Davis (Amy), Baron Davis, Taylor Clark (Cathy), Emma Carroll Waller and Dannie Waller; and two great-grandchildren Margaret June "Margo" Clark and Roy Alan Davis; and a host of nieces and nephews.
