Betty Kathryn Bean Hood, 75, of McComb, MS passed away Thursday, May 09, 2024 at McComb Nursing and Rehab.

Betty was born in Woodward, OK on November 06, 1948 to Ray Garfield Bean and Virginia Louise Lukes Bean Matherne. She was a member of Calvary Christian Fellowship of Gray, LA and continued her fellowship with Jesus while in McComb by being a prayer warrior for her family. She would always say FAMILY WAS HER EVERYTHING. She was a registered Cherokee Indian. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed music, listening to her father play country and gospel music. She enjoyed crafts, puzzles, reading, thrifting, garage sales and playing cards with her family.  She loved tending roses and flowers. She longed to be back home with family and friends in Houma, where a celebration of her life will be held at Calvary Christian Fellowship Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 12 PM.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Hubert "Buzzie" Ray Bean, and a sister Twyla Raye Bean.

She is survived by her children Theresa Michelle Hood Eschete (Carroll) of Houma, LA, Richard Craig Hood (Francine) of Houma, LA, and Richard Greg Hood (Angela) of McComb, MS, grandchildren Casey Bryant Eschete (Misty), Rev. Jarred Benjamin Eschete, Sr (Katherine), Daniel Micah Hood, Matthew Tyler McKenzie (Meghan) and Rebekah Dawn McKenzie Tate (Carl, Jr.), great grandchildren Tyden, Gradyn, Jarred, Jr., AriAnne, Jubilee, Wyatt, Zoey, Carl, III, Ginnifer, and Kevin, along with numerous other relatives and many close friends.
