Beverly Marie Hughes, 75, of Tylertown, MS passed away August 28, 2024 at her residence.  Private family graveside will be scheduled at a later date.

Beverly was born in McComb, MS on June 20, 1949 to Harold Smith and Thelma Reid Smith.  She was a faithful member of Enon Baptist Church, where she taught mission friends for fifteen plus years.  She was a faithful servant who shared scripture with anyone in her path.  She loved to encourage everyone with the Word of God. She would pray for you and with you at a moment's notice, all she ever wanted was for you to love Jesus and worship him in all that you do. She enjoyed cooking, trying many new recipes that she would get from the Cooking Network.  She enjoyed watching all preachers on TV and spent hours with family and especially her grandchildren.  She owned and operated with her husband Do-Rite Grocery for sixteen years, and later worked at Trustmark and retired from Wal-Mart after twenty years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of forty-four years Larry Hughes of Valdosta, GA, a brother Roy Smith, sister-in-law Peggy Smith, four infant siblings; Edith, Zelda, Toxie and Harold, Jr., and a niece Melissa Paige Smith.

She is survived by daughters Sheri Buras (Donnie) of Tylertown, MS and Teri Hawn (Justin) of Tylertown, MS, grandchildren Delahna Buras, Bailey Hawn, and Bentley Hawn, a nephew Rory Smith, a great nephew Logan Smith, along with numerous other relatives and friends.
