Bill Killingsworth, lovingly referred to as "Poppy" by his beloved grandchildren, was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, friend, and so much more. Bill was born in Red Bay, AL on March 2, 1940 to B. Lynn and Nellie Killingsworth. He served in the National Guard for several years and worked in logging and forestry before founding "Bill's Mobile Homes," the mobile home transport business for which he was well known. Bill's work ethic was unmatched; he was driven like no other to provide the best life possible for his family, all while upholding the utmost honesty and integrity in his business. His love and dedication to Pat, his wife of 68 years, and their children were unwavering. He enjoyed supporting his children, Christy and Tommy, through all their endeavors. Later in life, he moved to the Pricedale community to build a homestead and deer farm that he greatly enjoyed.

During retirement, Bill hardly slowed down. He was an avid tinkerer who loved riding his tractor and tending to his animals. Any given morning, you could likely find him making his way to or from the coffee shop in his Ford pickup to share old stories with his buddies. He shared an immense amount of love and support for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always keeping up with each of their pursuits and helping in any way he could. He loved the Lord and his church family, and there is no doubt he is now rejoicing with the angels.
This is not goodbye forever. It's "See you later, Pop."

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dorothy Foster; brothers, Howard Killingsworth, Horace Killingsworth, and James Roy Killingsworth; and brothers-in-law, Charles Leggett and James Leggett Jr.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 68 years, Patricia Killingsworth; children, Tommy Killingsworth and Christy Killingsworth; brother, Wayne Killingsworth; grandchildren, Tommy Killingsworth, Jeffrey Killingsworth, Scott Nichols (Emily), Matthew Nichols (Kayleigh), and Erin Pevey (Bobby); great-grandchildren, Huxley Nichols, Oakley Pevey, and Ainsley Pevey; and a host of other loving family members and friends.
