Billy Wilton McInnis, 79, a resident of Bogue Chitto, MS., passed away on January 26, 2026 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb, MS., surrounded by his loving family.
A visitation will be held Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb from 1 PM until services 2 PM. Rev. Steele Cockrell will officiate.
Billy was born in Magee, MS on July 5, 1946. He is the son of the late, Scott Evan McInnis and Edna Dickerson.
Billy was a member of Corinth Baptist Church of Magee, MS. He was a Truck Driver and a Carpenter by trade for many years. He was an outdoorsman who loved to fish and spend time with his grandbabies. He was an extremely humble man and a friend to all. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He will be extremely missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Scott Evan McInnis and one granddaughter, Jessica Hankins.
He is survived by his loving wife of thirty four happy years, Patsy Deer McInnis, two sons, Thomas McInnis (Kim), Stacy Dillon (Michelle), one daughter, Stephanie J. McInnis, one brother, Wiley "Pete" McInnis (Teresa), one sister, Ann Moore, one brother in-law, Hubert Deer, ten grandchildren, Dwayne Hankins, Matthew Hankins (Whitney), Breanna Hankins, Larry McInnis (Crystle), Samantha Blakley (Bobby), Thomas Bruce McInnis, Lilly McInnis, Britney Dillon, Taylor Johnson and Hailey Hodges (Trent) with nineteen great-grandchildren and a very special great-grandchild Braden Smith, also surviving him is the mother of his children, Margaret Williamson with numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Hankins, Dwayne Hankins, Mason Hankins, Thomas Bruce McInnis, Larry McInnis and Braden Smith.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105
