Bobbie Jean Freeman Alexander passed away at her residence on Friday, March 14, 2025 at the age of 88.

She was born on July 23, 1936 in Lincoln County, Mississippi and was a resident of Metairie, Louisiana for the past 65 years.

She was the daughter of Henry Clay Freeman and Ruby Dickerson Freeman.

Mrs. Alexander was a homemaker and worked for a time as a clerk for Bell South Telephone Company in McComb and with the Jefferson Parish School System as a teacher's assistant in Metairie. She was a member of Bridgedale Baptist Church in Metairie, Louisiana.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Aurther Lee Alexander; four brothers James Floyd Freeman, Claude L. Freeman, Henry Earl Freeman, and Raymond "Ray" Freeman; four sisters, Edith Inez Freeman Wallace, Freda Nell Freeman, Katherine Freeman Brown, and Virigina Nell Freeman.

She is survived by her daughter Beth Alexander Borgstede and grandchildren Scott (Kaitlyn) and Ashley and great-grandchildren Matthew and Brees Borgstede. She is also survived by her niece Sharon Brown Roberts, who was more like a sister, and also many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to the Graveside Service on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Hollywood Cemetery in McComb, Mississippi. Dr. David Millican to officiate. Hartman Jones Funeral Home of McComb will handle the arrangements.
