December 21, 1961 – June 20, 2024
Brian Carman McDaniel , 62 of Magnolia, Ms. passed away on June 2o, 2024 at St. Dominic's, Jackson, MS after a heroic battle with cancer.
Brian was born in Riverside, CA. on December 21, 1961 to Percy Carl McDaniel and Margie Benton McDaniel. With his father being in the Air Force, he traveled to many places and shared many memories of that time in his young life. They moved back home to their roots in Pike County in 1976, where he began living the farm life. He was a graduate of South Pike High School where he enjoyed playing football as a defensive tackle and was dubbed by his coach as "Big Mac". In high school is where he met the love of his life and they married on June 6, 1981 and together they spent 43 years building a foundation that will always be lived on through his family. Brian was first and foremost a family man. His wife, kids, and grandchildren were his world. He loved living life to the fullest. He enjoyed taking his wife on extravagant adventures, hunting, fishing, cooking, master diver, snorkeling, fine dining, concerts, a collector of many things and never turned down a family get together. Whatever the hobby or adventure was, he went all in and had everything necessary to do it right. He loved spending time with family and friends.
He was a member of East Union Baptist Church, Magnolia, Ms. where he was active in many committees, a deacon, RA leader and led music for a time. He loved singing and sang often at his church. Brian had a huge heart. He was a generous man and giving person and helped many people and organizations. He was just an all around world class man.
Brian began his career with Wendy's in 1981 at the age of 19 and joined the Carlisle Corporation in 1998. Brian loved his career and thrived on being successful. His passion for greatness led him to Director of Operations, on the Board of the Ms. Family for Kids Champion, Wendy's Best Franchise Operations Award, Wendy's International training class instructor, Vice President of Operations (Wendelta,Inc), Wendy's DMA President (multiple DMAs), Senior Vice President of Operations, The Wendy Award (only awarded to franchise owners), and Chief Operation Officer to name a few. He would tell you that his success was not only by his hard work but the team that stood behind him and trusted him to lead them.
