Obituary

Carol Ann Newton Lang, 31 of Monticello, MS passed away July 19, 2022 at her residence.

Visitation will be Saturday July 23 rd at Westgate Church in Magnolia from 1:00 until memorial services at 2:00 PM. A balloon release will follow immediately after services. Rev. Jerry Gressett and Rev. Josh Gressett will officiate.

Ms. Lang was born September 7, 1990 in McComb to John Newton and Heather Jones Lezina.

She just started a new career as a hospice caregiver. She was a graduate of North Pike High School where she was a cheerleader and on the softball team. Her family said she was a "Spitfire" who never backed down from a challenge. But if she loved you, she loved you with all of her heart.

Ms. Lang was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Hubert and Katie Newton; maternal grandparents Jimmy Jones and Eleanor Cutrer.

Survivors include her two daughters Casey and Elise Lang of Lake Havasu, AZ; mother Heather Jones Lezina of Monticello; father John Newton and his wife Jackie of McComb; sisters Hayley Martin and her husband Jason of Summit; Destiny Lezina of Florida; step brother Steven Howell of Summit; Step sister Chelsea Wilson and her husband Chase of Magnolia; and numerous other relatives and friends.
