Carwell "Dubbs"
Willis Traylor, Jr
February 28, 1945 – April 29, 2024
Carwell "Dubbs" Traylor Jr, 79, of McComb, MS, went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior on April 29, 2024. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him through his illness and ultimately gave him peace. He spent his childhood in Tylertown, MS and there he left to attend MSU and Ole Miss where he received his Masters in Pharmacy. While attending Ole Miss, he met the love of his life, Linda Ann Atkins and they enjoyed 56 years of marriage. Dubbs was a member at First Baptist Church McComb and moved his letter to First Baptist Church Summit where he enjoyed fellowshipping and spending time with family and friends.
Dubbs was a devoted husband, father, and pharmacist who never met a stranger and made friends wherever he went. As a pharmacist for over 40 years, he took great pride in making sure his customers knew him as a friend and were well informed of their medications. After he retired, he enjoyed playing golf with his friends and especially his grandson Tray Rawls.
Welcoming with open arms in Heaven are his parents Carwell Willis Traylor Sr and Flora Jane Rhodus Traylor.
With beautiful cherish memories, he leaves behind his wife, Linda Traylor, three daughters Kim Rawls, Kelli Little (Patrick), and Kathy Stogner (Andy), five grandchildren Tray Rawls, Lauren Little, Jared Little, Whit Stogner, and Sara Ann Stogner, sister Nan Naugher (Loren) and two nieces Cynthia Naugher, Ashley Naugher.
He will be dearly missed, but we celebrate in our strong belief that he is now in the hands of the Lord he served. His family also celebrates the gift that they were given by their husband, father, son, grandfather, and uncle that he lived to be 79 years old.
Visitation will be Friday, May 3rd at First Baptist Church Summit from 9:00 – 11:00 with a service following at 11:00. Dr. Larry LeBlanc will officiate.
