Cecil was born on September 11, 1936 in Osyka, MS. He was the son of the late, Elliot and Hattie Hutcherson Cutrer.
Cecil was a retired electrician (Electrician Local #995) out of Baton Rouge, LA., and was a member of New Heights Baptist church, where he was very active in the church. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He loved Mississippi State football and building bird houses.
Cecil had a gift for making everyone feel seen and heard. His laughter could light up a room, and his generosity knew no bounds. Whether it was volunteering to help with vacation bible school this past summer at the age of 89 or helping out someone that may have an electrical problem they needed help with, he gave his time freely and with joy. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched. He will be sadly missed by those who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his loving wife of nine happy years, Nancy Guylene Compton Cutrer, two sons, Cecil P. "Sonny" Cutrer Jr., (Viola) and Christopher Cutrer (Cindy), two daughters, Sandra Gail Cutrer and Elizabeth Joy Martin (Tommy) with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
