Charles Elutte Bowlin, born September 5, 1928 in Amite County, Mississippi, to Benjamin and Octavia Bowlin, passed from this life on August 19, 2026.

Charles began working at a young age as a farmhand in a cotton field. He was drafted into the reserves during WWII, and was called back during the Korean War; receiving an honorable discharge. His prized occupation after his military service was driving the big rig. Anyone who knew him knew he loved to drive and socialize. In his later years, he loved the Lord and loved reading the Holy Bible. He attended Mount Zion Baptist Church in Franklin County, Mississippi.

Services will be held Friday, August 21, 2026 at Hartman Jones Funeral Home from 10 AM until services at 11 AM. Bro. Dusty McPherson will officiate and burial will be at Cold Springs Church of Christ Cemetery next to his beloved late wife of 25 years, Francis Bowlin. Hartman Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
