Charles Brian Parker, 61, a resident of Summit, MS passed away at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center on July 1, 2024.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Hartman Jones Funeral Home from 5 PM until 8 PM, and will continue Friday, July 12, 2024 at Hartman Jones Funeral Home from 10 AM until services at 12 PM. Bro. Jeffery Conn will officiate. Hartman Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Brian was born on September 7, 1962 in New Orleans, LA. He was the son of Thomas Elwin Parker and Mary Ruth Parker. He was very well known within the community and described by many as a "great man." As a successful business owner, Brian supported his community and generated new relationships for over 35 years at the House of Thunder. He loved to travel and spend time outdoors, especially at his camp on the river. He had a profound love of music, and enjoyed spending time with his family. Very much a people person, he truly enjoyed making others laugh. He was a work enthusiast and took pride in his land. Brian was a talented, intelligent man with many skills that could bring any idea to life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Tommy Parker and Mary Ruth Parker.
Brian is survived by his wife of eighteen years, Cathy Parker; three children Charles K. Parker, Kimberly Brown (Chris), and Kendra Parker; two grandchildren Emalynn Brown and Samuel Thomas Parker; three brothers Brad Parker (Dee) of Georgia, David Parker of Alabama and Richard Traegler Jr. (Patty) of Florida; one sister, Kim Silha of Florida; his aunt and uncle, Bill and Jean Voss; and Richard "Tink" Traegler Sr.; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles K. Parker, Samuel Thomas Parker, Bill Voss, Greg Stogner, Brad Parker, David Parker, and Richard Traegler Jr.
