Obituary

Darrelyn "Dee" Hutson, 65, a resident of Summit, MS went to be with the Lord on February 4, 2026 at home with her husband by her side.

A visitation will be held Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Moaks Creek Baptist Church in Summit, MS, from 9 -11 AM. The service will start at 11:00 officiated by Pastor John Michael Alexander. Graveside service and Burial will immediately follow at Moaks Creek Cemetery.

Darrelyn was born in Paincourtville, LA, on October 6, 1960. She is the daughter of the late Edward Joseph and Betty Ann LeBlanc Cedotal.

Dee was a loving devoted wife and mother, who always went the extra mile. Retiring as a Master Sergeant in the US Army, she took pride in serving her country. Later on, as a Master Gardener she loved to grow and nurture beautiful things.  Carefully cultivating miles of blooms, bushes and butterflies brought joy to her days. Joy was a way of life for Dee, who was always beaming with a wide smile and a beautiful laugh that lifted the hearts of all who heard it. Most of all she loved special time spent with family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Bernard and Jeffery Cedotal.

She is survived by her husband of 35 happy years, Reginald R. Hutson, two sons Joshua Hutson of Monroe and Michael Hutson (Heather) of West Monroe; four daughters and their spouses, Sherry Garmon (Bill) of Vicksburg, MS, Nancy Longo (Wes) of Clovis, NM, Dawn LeSage (Earl Paul) of Greenwell Springs, LA, and Renee Greer (Joshua) of Shreveport, LA, two sisters, Melissa Giandelone (Lane) of Labadieville, LA, and Tammy Cedotal of Labadieville, LA, two brothers, Jeremy Cedotal of Peyton, CO, and Edward J. Cedotal Jr. of Napoleonville, LA, thirteen grandchildren, Rachel Garmon, Sabra Cooper, Nicholas Cooper, Grant LeSage, Ethan LeSage, Aubrey Greer, Emily Greer, Dakota Greer, Lindsey LeSage, Madeline LeBlanc, Ava Smith, Hannah Smith, Samuel Smith, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Earl Paul LeSage Jr., Grant LeSage, Ethan LeSage, Austin Surface, Chad Branch, and Nicholas Cooper.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Greer and Wes Longo.
