Dimple W. McGehee, 85, of Abita Springs, LA., passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at her daughter's home in Abita Springs.

She was born April 26, 1938 in Lemon, MS to the late Junis Barney and Nonnie Thornton Westbrook.

No services to be announced at this time.  Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb will handle the arrangements.

Dimple retired from the St Tammany Parish School System that she had worked for 20 years.  She was a caring, empathetic, and devoted teacher  who worked miracles in many of her students lives. She was an avid gardener, everywhere she lived the colorful blooms brightened many peoples lives. She loved to read, be outside, have her hands in the dirt, and be around those that she loved.  Dimple was a good Christian woman whose wisdom will be carried on in her children, grandchildren and the many other lives that she touched along the way.  Dimple loved and supported her family and friends deeply.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul J. McGehee Jr., and her daughter Debra Rene' McGehee.

Survivors include her brother, Douglas Westbrook, three children and their spouses, Darla and Glenn Lassus, Barney and Tabitha McGehee and Shawn and Deborah McGehee, sixteen grandchildren, Joshua Lassus, Amanda Lassus, Taren and Thomas Fish, Tylr McGehee, Sierra, Aubrey, Emma, and LilliAnn Nowlin, David McGehee Jr., Krystn and Eric Hebert, Caitlin and Chase Chancellor, Harlen Templet, Sean and Reagan Dormody, Charles and Ashley McGehee, Sarah Dormody and Heather McGehee; five great-grandchildren, Madlyn Hebert, Charlie and Annalise Chancellor, and Zoey and Bentley Fish with numerous nieces and nephews.
