Dixie Neil Brand, 86, formerly of Bogue Chitto, MS, a current resident of Milton, FL, passed away at her residence in Milton, FL on January 27, 2026.

A funeral service will be held Friday, January 30, 2026 at Hartman Jones Funeral Home from 12 PM until services at 2 PM. Dr. David Millican will officiate. Burial will be at Hollywood Cemetery. Hartman Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Dixie was born in Louisiana on August 6, 1939 to the late Jessie Nelson and Maudie Perkins Nelson.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband John Brand.

She is survived by her daughter, Gwendolyn "Wendy" Spitchley and husband, Chris Spitchley of Milton, FL; two sisters Ruby and husband of Doyline, LA and Alice Brand, Winnsboro, Louisiana;  three grandchildren:  Daphyne Dykes and husband Rusty Dykes, James Michael Parker, and Christina Stillman and husband, MJ Stillman;  and seven great-grandchildren: Kayne Parker, Cooper and Maya Stillman, Gabriel,  Kolton, Kayra, and Laylea Dykes.

Pallbearers will be Melvin Stillman, MJ Stillman, James Mickel Parker, Kayne Parker, Rusty Dykes, Gabriel Dykes, and Chris Spitchley.
