Donnie Lee Dickerson, 79, a resident of Jackson, MS formerly of Summit, MS passed away on May 15, 2026 at University of Mississippi Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at Dickerson Family Cemetery in Bogue Chitto, MS at 10 AM.

Donnie was born on November 3, 1946 to the late William and Lucy Dickerson. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a loving father, brother, uncle, and friend and will be sadly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Doris Dickerson; his brother-in-law Oscar Hughes; and his nephew Donnie McKenzie.

He is survived by his son, Donnie Lee Dickerson, Jr.; his sister, Vera Hughes; his brother Lenard Dickerson; his niece Angela Turner (Daniel); his great-nieces Rebecca Nordstrom and Madelyn Nordstrom; along with other relatives and friends.
