Dorothy Ann Barron, 90, a resident of Summit, MS passed away on December 14, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Hartman Jones Funeral Home from 9 AM until services at 11 AM. Rev. Alton Foster will officiate and burial will be at East Fork Baptist Church Cemetery.

Dorothy was born on May 11, 1935 to the late Herman Wilson and Winnie McElveen Wilson. She was an active member of East Fork Baptist Church. She was a caregiver, always taking care of the elderly and her grandchildren. Her family always looked forward to Sunday lunches and holiday meals at her home. She loved to work in her flower garden and her vegetable garden. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband O.C. Barron; her son Wyatt Barron; and her grandson Brandon Jackson.

She is survived by three daughters Sharon Steele, Shawn Jackson (Ricky), and Kim Golden (Marc); a daughter-in-law Kelly Barron; five grandchildren Micheal Barron, Shannon Stevens (Dwayne), Megan McCaskill (Landon), Kayla Brousseau (Jon), and Brent Barron (Kaylea); seven great-grandchildren Alayna Hebert, Barron Brousseau, Wyatt Barron, D.J. Stevens, McKenzie Stevens, Carson Stevens, and Shelby Stevens; along with other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Marc Golden, Jon Brousseau, Landon McCaskill, Dwayne Stevens, D.J. Stevens, and Tim Wilkinson. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Newman and Ricky Jackson.

The family would like to give special thanks to Deaconess Hospice for their care and compassion for their family during this time.
