Dorothy Grace "Mama Dot" Boone Hightower, 89, of Mccomb passed away April 22, 2022 at her residence.

Visitation will be Friday April 29th at Hartman Jones Funeral Home from 5-7 PM and continues Saturday at Trinity United Church 3054 Old Industrial Rd. McComb, MS from 9 until services at 10 AM . Burial will follow in Hollywood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Braden Boone, Bryson Boone, Colby Boone, Conner Boone, Luke Clark, Zach Tillman.

Mrs. Hightower was born on June 5, 1932 in Tylertown, MS to the late Claude and Gertrude McGuffee Boone.

She was a lady bailiff for the Pike County Courthouse where she worked for 43 years. She was a longtime faithful member of the Mccomb First Church of the Nazarene. Mama Dot as she was affectionately known served in numerous rolls in the church which included teaching Sunday School, youth director, church board member, Nazarene Youth International local president, and Nazarene Mission International local president.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lee Hightower; six brothers Harley, A.D., Clyde, Ford, Winston "Buck", and Richard Boone; three sisters Claudine Ainsworth, Kathryn Sullivan and Jeanette Johnson; grandsons Blake and Aaron Hightower.

Survivors include three sons Eddie Hightower (Freda) of Summit; Eric Hightower of McComb; Evan Hightower (Belinda) of McComb; one brother Algie Boone of Keller, TX; grandchildren Trevor Hightower (Brandy) of Summit, MS; Jeffrey Hightower (Ashley) of Ft. Mills, SC; William Hightower (Katie) of Collierville,TN; great grandchildren Parker, Maci, Charlie, Drake and Leah Hightower; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
