Dustin "Dusty" Anthony Barr, 44, of the Barto Community, died unexpectedly on September 17, 2024. A visitation will be held on Monday, September 23, 2024, at Hartman Jones Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until services there at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Pike Memorial Gardens in McComb, MS. Dr. Barry Ward will officiate.Hartman Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Dusty was born on March 5, 1980, to Joey and Robbin Anthony Barr in McComb, MS. He was a graduate of Parklane Academy and Southwest Mississippi Community College and attended Mississippi State University. Dusty earned several additional certifications in his field across the years. He worked with K&A IT Solutions; a job that afforded him not only the opportunity to travel, which was something he enjoyed, but also provided him a brotherhood with whom he loved working.  Dusty could ignite the entire room with his energy, enthusiasm for life, optimism, and sweetness. He freely gave of himself- time, money, just whatever he had- and never sought repayment or a report of what was done with his gift. He was the epitome of friendship - loyal, loving and kind. Dusty had enough energy for a dozen lifetimes. His beautiful soul has left a trail of fun, sweet, tender, special memories for his family and many friends to share and cherish for the rest of our lives. The loss of Dusty leaves a heartache we so agonizingly feel, but the love we shared leaves precious memories nothing can steal. Dusty had many hobbies - beekeeping, listening to True Crimes podcasts, watching The Price is Right game show, and studying vintage cars- a list as eclectic as Dusty himself. Kaylin fondly recalls how her Daddy "loved working hard to provide me with everything I ever needed." Dusty was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joel Rodney Barr and Verena Higginbotham Barr as well as his maternal grandparents, Robert Anthony and Dorothy Simmons Baggett and her husband, Gerald.

Dusty is survived by his parents, Joey and Robbin; his daughter, Kaylin Elizabeth Barr; his bonus daughter, Leah Claire McGuire; his sister, Brooke Barr Ward (Mark); his nephew, Wyatt Ward; his niece, Addison Ward; his aunts, Heidi Anthony Matt (Randy) and Phyllis Barr; his
uncle, Kevin Barr; numerous cousins and close friends. No doubt Dusty will be missed by Blanca, Gravy and Biddy, his special pet pals.
