Earl Minton, 85, of McComb passed away September 9, 2026 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Visitation will be at Hartman Jones Funeral Home on Thursday September 17, 2026 from 1:00 PM until memorial services at 3:00 PM.

Mr. Minton was born February 19, 1941 in North Carolina to the late John Thomas Minton and Edith Lyle McKenzie Minton.

He retired from Brown Bottling Group in McComb after 43 years of dedicated service. He never missed a day of work and was 35 times salesperson of the year. He was a loving committed husband, father, brother and friend. He loved making people laugh and have a good time. He also loved fishing, playing golf and watching football. Earl loved playing cards and was pretty good at cheating. He also loved playing Pac Man and couldn’t sit still while playing it.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers John Thomas Minton Jr., Charles Edward Minton, Henry L. Minton, Jimmy Dale Minton; sisters Emma Jean Wall and Bernice Boone.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years Trish Minton; his children Tracey Gray (Carlos), Wendy Dunaway, Tristan Minton; grandchildren Trey Boyd (Anna), Hunter Boyd (Cory), Tyler Ann Boyd (Lane), Jaide Dunaway (Kodie), Chloe Dunaway (Ramon); sister Sandra Cardiff (Lynn); sisters in law Rachel Adams and Peggy Hodges; brother in law Randy Bowman (Tiffany); special friends Gene and Judy Van Norman; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives
