Edgar Allen Bennett, 74, a resident of Fernwood passed away on February 17, 2026 at his residence surrounded by his family.

A celebration of life will be held on April 11, 2026 from 12 PM until 4 PM at his home.

Edgar was born on October 26, 1951 to the late Lawrence and June Bennett. He was an avid fisherman. He was a Christian man who loved the Lord. Edgar loved his many beloved dogs and cats.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws Virgil and Alice Hickman; one brother-in-law Joe Hickman; and his nephew Jeffery Hickman.

He is survived by his wife of almost 55 loving years Nora Hickman Bennett; one sister-in-law Laura Smith; his nieces Kim Soileau, Kelley Smith, Shelia Hickman, and Sheila "Bo" Hickman; his cousin Tamie (Charlie) Norwood; his half-brother Charles Bennett; his cats Kat and Goat; along with great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and friends.
