Obituary

Elizabeth Lynn Kovar, age 68, passed away on October 1, 2026, in Mississippi.

Born on December 16, 1957, in Natchez, Mississippi, Elizabeth lived a vibrant life filled with deep love for her family. She cherished every moment spent surrounded by her husband, children, and grandchildren, and she found immense joy in traveling, especially going on cruises with her children. True to her adventurous spirit, she recently loved exploring beneath the waves on a sea track helmet excursion 15 to 20 feet under the sea and swimming with dolphins. She was smitten with her daily games of Spider Solitaire. She shared a special, constant bond with her beloved dogs, Bella and Pepper.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Nellie Marsh; her father, Sam Marsh; and her late husband, Ernest "Ernie" Ray Kovar, with whom she shared many years until his passing.

Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband, Edward Westmoreland. She leaves behind her devoted son, George Quincey Gann, and his wife, Crystal Gann; and her loving daughter, Amy Lynn Gibson, and her husband, Robert Gibson. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Brent Colvin, Gabriel Gann, Savannah Gann, Robert Blake Gibson Jr., and Abbey Lynn Pierson and her husband Christian Pierson. Elizabeth took immense pride and joy in her precious great-grandchildren, Paisley Rayne Pierson and Carson Jay Pierson. She is also survived by her dear sister, Joyce Marsh, as well as many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly. We will forever hold her close to our hearts as we remember the melody of her life.

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." — 2 Timothy 4:7
