Freddie Everett
Marler, Jr.
January 13, 1956 – November 24, 2025
Freddie Everett Marler, Jr., 69, a resident of Hazelhurst, MS; passed away November 24, 2025, at the Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Graveside services will be held at Springhill Baptist Church on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Rev. Stan Weatherford will officiate.
Freddie was born on January 13, 1956, in Hazelhurst, MS to Freddie E. Marler, Sr. and Harvine Thompson Marler. A member of Springhill Baptist Church. Freddie owned and operated his own gutter business out of Brandon, MS where he lived most of his adult life. He moved back home to Martinsville, MS next to his mother in 2016. A stroke in 2018 didn't stop him from living or doing exactly what he wanted. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, fighting chickens, he also loved his dogs. He spent time riding four wheelers with his daughter and grandson, motorcycles, race car driving, playing golf, he could be seen doing it all right along with you. Mostly he loved spending time with his grandson, whether it be outside or inside whatever David Louis Fore, III wanted PawPaw to do, they did. When he wasn't entertaining the grandson, he enjoyed playing dominos and keeping his daughter on her toes. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Linda Sandifer, a brother Mitchell Marler, and a son.
He is survived by a daughter Jane'e Marler-Fore of Hazelhurst, a grandson David Louis Fore, III, two brothers Kenneth Marler and Charles Marler, along with many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and a host of friends.
