Obituary

Garland Case, 84, of McComb, MS., passed away on February 14, 2022 at SMRMC in McComb.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM Friday, February 18, 2022 at First Assembly of God in McComb and services will begin at 11 AM. Rev. Jim Dalton and Rev. David Boyd will officiate and burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery.

Garland was born on February 12, 1938 in McComb, MS to the late Albert Manson Case and Mellie Rushing.

He was a welder, served as a security guard at SMRMC; a member of First Assembly of God and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Garland also loved his sweet, precious dog known as "Baby" and enjoyed a good western. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Albert, Carl, and Merle Case; three sisters, Helen Case, Lucille Beam, and Tommie Jean Stinson.

He is survived by his wife of 49 happy years, Lila Snyder Case; one son, David E. Case (Lynn); two daughters, Sybil Watson (Charles "Bubba") and Margie Yates (Ken); four grandchildren, Dewayne Sullivan (Charlene), Viktoria Craft (Matthew), Natalie Watson, and Shelton Chambers (Daniel); and two great-grandchildren, Madalynn Sullivan and Elizabeth Craft.
