Doug was born in New Orleans, January 21, 1952 and lifted his final anchor on November 1, 2022.  He is survived by his 1st mate who was his loving son Blake Craighead and his brother Christopher Craighead.  Doug was a lifelong sailor and throughout his life owned old Ford trucks always held together with zip ties and duct tape plus everything from pirogues to large sailing yachts. Doug loved sailing with friends, bottle rockets, great music and a good steak. We will miss his quick wit, his intelligence and those endless stories.
