Geraldine Williams, 90, of Liberty, MS passed away Monday, August 24, 2026 at Liberty Community Living Center.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 27, 2026 at Robinson Baptist Church from 5 PM until 8 PM continuing Friday, August 28, 2026 from 9 AM until services at 11 AM. Bro. Carl Mason will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

She was born on March 8, 1936 in the Peoria Community to the late Andrew Jackson “A.J.” Woodall and Annie Edwards Woodall. Ms. Geri finished Liberty High School in 1954. She attended Cosmetology School in downtown McComb. In her early years, she worked for Helen Hunter at Gentry Town House. Later in her career, she worked with Ms. Johnnie Stateham at her salon on Pearl River Ave. After Ms. Geri divorced, she left the salon for several years. She became employed with Day Motors as the 2nd sales lady in McComb, MS. In 1987, she built Geri’s Place on the corner of Park St and Hillcreast Ave in McComb. Ms. Johnnie joined Ms. Geri for many years in her salon. Ms. Geri was a member of the National and MS Cosmetology Association. During this time, Ms. Geri and Mrs. Mary Godbold flew to San Bernardino for a Grand Adventure attending a huge west coast hair show. They were invited by Ms. Mary’s son Gill, who was involved with that event.

As much as Mrs. Geri loved her family, friends, and salon family, my mother loved Peoria and the Amite River. Everyone in this area learned to swim at the Peoria swimhole. Ms Geri. And her sister kept all their children on the riverbanks with swimming, picnics, and fishing. Believing, the busier they kept us the less trouble we would get in! When she was raising her children and later years, she enjoyed deer hunting. In our childhood, Moms yard was full of kids playing ball in her yard. We will love and miss her always.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Barbara Bankston (T.J.); her brother David Woodall; and her nephew Greg Bankston.

She is survived by her children Melanie Williams and Maxie Williams; a special nephew Chuck Woodall (Tina); along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Pallbearers will be John McKnight, Mika McKnight, Evan Thomas, Gary Bales, Brandy Biggs, Potts Thomas, and Jason White.
