Obituary

Gleen Diane Register, 79, a resident of McComb, Mississippi, went home to be with the Lord Jesus on Wednesday, February 18th, 2026 surrounded by family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 28th, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., with memorial services at 12:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church McComb. Brother Richard Scoggins and Rick Edmonds will officiate. Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb is in charge of arrangements.

Gleen was born to Richard Jerome Scoggins and Gleen Lorraine Looney Scoggins on February 26, 1946. She was the eldest of her siblings and a loving mother to three children, two daughters from McComb, Mississippi, and one son.

In her younger years, she worked for the Orange County Sheriff's Department, where she said the Lord gave her opportunities to share the Gospel. She later worked at the McComb Police Department until her retirement. To her family and friends, she was a blessing and a best friend who never missed morning coffee and Bible study.

Taking her grandchildren to Sunday school brought her great joy. One of her youngest grandsons gave her the nickname "Grandma Cookie," and everyone knew her as Mrs. Diane. There is no doubt she left a legacy of love and planted the seeds of salvation in many hearts. Her greatest wish was for all of her family to know the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Floyd and Clara Looney; her parents, Richard Jerome Scoggins Sr. and Gleen Lorraine Scoggins; her brother Curtis Scoggins; brother-in-law Michael Spann; granddaughter Dianni Lopez, and nephew Mark Reeves.

Diane is survived by her daughter Katherine R. Doyle (Michael) of Pine Prairie, La; daughter Holly Donnaud(Daniel) of McComb; son James A. Register(Shylo) of Deltona, Florida; one sister, Susan Spann of Dublin, Texas; two brothers, Jerry Scoggins Sr. (Belinda) McComb, and Richard Jerome Scoggins Jr. of McComb.

She is also survived by many grandchildren: Rebecca D. Guy of Lafayette, LA; Ginnipher Guy of ColumbUS, Ga; Gabriella Medina of McComb, ; Monica G. Lopez of Columbus, GA; Joshua D. Story of Gonzalez, LA; Michael Woolbert of Gulfport,  William Woolbert (Megan)of Gulfport,  Matthew Woolbert (Rachael; Jimi A. Register II (Rachel) of Apopka, Florida; John A. Register (Abigail); Jared A. Register of Deltona, Florida; Jesse A. Register of Deltona,  Justin A. Register of Deltona, and Sean Michael Doyle of McComb.

Her great-grandchildren include Chelsea, and Jerome Guy; Deyvi and Emily Lopez, Jehkeen, Jesus, and Iva Ortega,  Hailey, Autumn, Layla, and Violet Register; Riley and Alexander Woolbert .Khole Stewart of Walker La; Ariel Woolbert of McComb, two great-great-grand children, also her nieces and nephews include Jerry Scoggins Jr. and his wife Haley Scoggins of McComb, Mississippi; Shannon Ryan of McComb, Mississippi; Christina Connerly and her husband Michael Connerly of McComb; Gerald Wiggins of Dublin. and a host of other numerous neices, nephews, extended family and close friends.
