Glenn Everett Jones 85, of McComb, MS passed away peacefully at his home on March 15, 2024.

Visitation will be at Hartman Jones Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 PM and Wednesday at Fellowship Baptist Church 2142 Barnett Rd. Summit, MS from 12:00  until services at 1:00 PM.  Burial will follow in the Barron Bethany Cemetery in McComb.  Bro. James Quin,  Rev. Tom Burris and also Rev. Glen Crane will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Alan Rimes, Bobby Coon, William Johnson, Dalton Jones, Ronny Horn and David Wyatt.

Mr. Jones was born July 29, 1938 in McComb, MS to the late C.W. Jones Jr. and Helen Givens Jones.

Mr. Jones Graduated from McComb High School in 1956.  He joined the Air Force and served as an air traffic controller stationed at Keesler Air Force and then he served the remainder of his time in Korea.  After returning to the states he worked for Sunbeam Bread and for the A&P Stores.  He later went to work for the Illinois Central Railroad until his retirement in 2002.  He was also a longtime member and deacon of Fellowship Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years Barbara Brewer Jones of McComb; two daughters Glenda Dianne Rimes and her husband Alan;  Kimberly Denise Coon and her husband Bobby;  son Jeffrey Glenn Jones and his wife Audrey; brother Jerry Lee Jones and his wife Rita;  grandchildren Glen Rimes, Danielle Rimes, Stephanie Rimes, Dalton Jones, Brooke Jones Smith and Karlie Jones; great grandchildren Autumn Blake Smith and Ava Jane Smith; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
