Harold G. Boyd, 86, of Jayess, MS passed away on August 4, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 12, 2024 at Calvary Baptist Church from 5 PM until 8 PM, continuing on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 from 10 AM until services at 12 PM. Burial will be at McEwen Cemetery in Jayess, MS. Hartman Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Harold loved hunting, fishing, painting, serving his church community & traveling with his wife, Dandra.

He fiercely loved God, his family, and a good prank. Harold was possibly the most likeable person anyone has ever met. The room was filled with laughter if Harold was in it.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Dandra Hatchell Boyd. Dandra loved and cared for Harold until his last days, faithfully. He is also survived by his children Lisa Boyd, Darryl Boyd (Donnis), and Christopher Shannon Boyd; his stepchildren Darrell Hatchell (Brandi), Jackie Hyde (Daniel), and Adam Graves; his grandchildren Hunter Boyd, DaLana Billings (Brandon), Landon Boyd (Cassandra), Brittany Gomez (Christopher), Dustin Smith (Callon), Isaiah Shoemake and Hudson Hyde; his great-grandchildren  Austin Herring, Andrew Blalock, Anniston Billings, Adley Billings, Averly Billings, Caydence Gomez, Carmyn Gomez, Aria Smith, and Sawyer Smith; his great great-grandchild Maria Herring; his siblings Gussie Vee Fowler and James Paul Boyd (Louise); along with Numerous other friends & family including Glenn Watts & Dennis Case whose friendship with Harold spanned more than 60+ years.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Lizzie JoAnn Spiers Boyd, married 36 years, JoAnn was monumental in Harold's early Christian life and helped mold him as the Godly man he was before her passing.His parents Elmer Boyd and Helen Earlene Alexander Boyd McGraw; his siblings Eddie Boyd and Dorothy Pennington; his granddaughters Jasmine Herring and Lala Jo Boyd; and his great great grandchild Bentley Herring.

Pallbearers will be Darryl Boyd, Shannon Boyd, Darrell Hatchell, Adam Graves, Brandon Billings, Andrew Blalock, Landon Boyd, and Denny Galloway. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dustin Smith and Hudson Hyde.
