Harriett S. Woods, 86, of Memphis, TN and formerly of McComb, MS, passed away on August 19, 2022, at her residence.

Harriett was born October 8, 1935, to the late William Harry Schilling and Wilma Sudduth Schilling.

Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at 11:00 AM in Hollywood Cemetery in McComb. Connie Felter will officiate. Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb is in charge of arrangements. If inclement weather services will be held at the funeral home.

She enjoyed her career as a homemaker and her family believed that she was an absolute perfect mother. She was a member of Flower Lovers Club, Four Seasons Club and the Wednesday Club. She graduated from McComb High School and attended Southwest Junior College. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 61 very happy years, James Cary Woods; her mother and father-in-law, Cary and Mildred Woods, her sister, Linda Schilling Clark; her sister-in-law, Juanita Woods.

Survivors include her son, Jay Alan Woods (Jayne) of Collierville, TN; her daughter, Jan Woods Moore (Jeff) of Canton, GA; her brother-in-law, Jimmy Clark of McComb, MS; her grandchildren, Chris Woods (Megan), Austin Woods (Samantha) all of Collierville, TN, Morgan Moore Mason (Will), Megan Moore all of Canton, GA and Maddie Lindgren of Jackson, MS.

Pallbearers will be Chris Woods, Austin Woods, Jeffery Clark, Doug Hughes, Will Mason and Brad Clark.

Food and fellowship will follow the graveside at Lisa and Doug Hughes home at 3000 Delaware ext McComb, MS
