Hattie Pearl Matthews, 90, formerly of McComb, MS; passed away May 29, 2023 in Ellisville, MS.  Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 11:30 AM at Montgomery Baptist Church.  Dr. David Millican will officiate.  Hartman Jones Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.

Hattie was born May 25, 1933 in McComb, MS to Reuben Oliver Matthews and Eudora Brabham Matthews.  She was a longtime member of South McComb Baptist Church.  She loved reading her bible and enjoyed a good crossword puzzle.  She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, eight  brothers and sisters, four daughters and two sons.

She is survived by two daughters Jean Kaye Hamm (Dean) of Soso, MS and Tammy Harrell (Chuck) of Sevierville, TN, twelve grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be AJ Alford, Brody Hamm, Kenney Ray Fortenberry, Jason Hamm, Bryan Bates and Dean Hamm.
