Helen Louise Veal, 87, of Osyka, MS passed away August 11, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Hartman Jones Funeral Home at 9 AM until services at 11 AM. A graveside services will be held at Bear Creek Cemetery in McCool, MS at 3 PM. Rev. Richie Fortenberry will officiate. Hartman Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Helen was born on May 5, 1937 to her father Leslie D. Buckles.

She is preceded in death by her father Leslie D. Buckles and stepmother Lela Buckles; her husband, Don Veal; her sister, Barbara Furlow; and her brother L.D. Buckles.

She is survived by her daughters Martha Reigel (Joseph) and Mary Ann Godbold (David); eight grandchildren Craig Stuard, Alex Reigel, Susan Wheless (Ronnie), Mikey Godbold (Laci), Cyndi Laciura (Cole), Courtni Elliott (Joey), Britni Davis (Ruston), and Whitni Simmons (Adam); four great-grandchildren Ginger, Beau, Allie, and Walker; one brother Robert Buckles; bonus granddaughter Anna Fraiser; her beloved cat Winston Bankston Veal; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Mikey Godbold, Craig Stuard, Joey Elliott, Ruston Davis, Adam Simmons, and Cole Laciura. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Wheless, Joseph Reigel, David Godbold and Beau Laciura.
