Celebrating the life of Herman “Butch” Hickman, Jr., with hearts full of gratitude and love, we honor his extraordinary journey. Born on December 25, 1966, in McComb, Mississippi, Butch was a gift to everyone who had the privilege to know him.
On October 16, 2026, Butch passed away peacefully after a short illness, surrounded by love and the warmth of cherished memories.
Visitation will be Monday October 19, 2026 from 9 AM until services at 11 AM at Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb. Rev Hunter Wooldridge will officiate and burial will be in Pike Memorial gardens Cemetery in McComb.
Butch was the beloved son of the late, Herman Hickman, Sr. and Bobbie Pearl Furlow Hickman. From a young age, he embraced life with an infectious sense of humor and an unwavering kindness that touched the lives of many. He carried these qualities with him throughout his life.
A proud graduate of McComb High School in 1985, Butch was a simple man who found joy in the everyday moments. Whether it was enjoying a steaming cup of coffee at dawn or unwinding with a cold beer at dusk, he understood the beauty of life’s small pleasures. Butch's laughter and generosity made gatherings with family and friends unforgettable.
In recent years, Butch shared his life with his devoted fiancée, Lisa Marie Perry. Together, they built a home filled with love and laughter, a sanctuary shared with their many beloved animals. Their shared moments, filled with love and companionship, were the highlight of Butch's days. Lisa, his aunt Margie Smith, along with many cousins and close friends survive him, carrying forward his legacy of kindness and joy.
Butch's life was a testament to the power of love, simplicity, and humor. His memory will remain a guiding light for all who knew him.
As we say our goodbyes to Butch, we celebrate a life well-lived, and a heart that loved deeply. Rest in peace, dear Butch. Your laughter and love will echo in our hearts forever.
