Irma Rebecca Morris McDaniel, 97, a resident of McComb, died on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center

Visitation will be held Sunday, September 18, 2022 from 1:00 until funeral service at 2:00 PM at Hartman Jones Funeral Home. Dr. David Millican & Dr. Robert Netterville will officiate. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery.

Mrs. McDaniel was born December 11, 1924 in Grenada, MS. She was the daughter of Asa and Lillian Morris

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles E. McDaniel; an infant son, Charles McDaniel; two sisters, Bonita Woods, Eunice Jacks; two brothers, Jack Morris and Asa Morris; three brothers-in-law, Jimmy Smith, Ray McDaniel and Clyde Jacks; two sisters-in-law, Catherine Smith and Mamie Morris; three nephews, Bradley Smith, Tommy McDaniel and Clyde Jacks, Jr.; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Otto and Eula McDaniel.

She was born into a beautiful and loving family. She was the youngest of five children and was affectionately known as Baby Sista by her family, friends and the entire city of Grenada. She was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church. She loved the Lord. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was a strong southern woman who never met a stranger. She was a master in the kitchen and enjoyed entertaining in her home. She had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. She supported her husband Charlie through his long career with Mississippi Power and Light and together they weathered each and every storm. They also owned a cattle farm in Magnolia, MS. She will be sadly missed by her loved ones.

Mrs. McDaniel is survived by her sons, Alan (Bonnie) McDaniel and Larry McDaniel; her daughter, Sandra (Bob) Kyzar; her grandchildren, David Alan McDaniel, Richard (Heather) McDaniel, Ron McDaniel, Don McDaniel, Joe Kyzar, Robyn Kyzar Burchfield (Teague); her great grandchildren, Cora Lynn McDaniel, Charlie McDaniel, Avery Grace McDaniel, Lily Claire McDaniel, Tanner Kyzar, Leighton Kyzar, Phillip Burchfield and Ellyn Burchfield; three brothers-in-law, Gene (Leonada) McDaniel, Bobby (Jerry) McDaniel, Joe (Ann) McDaniel; special family and friends, Julee McMicheal, Brandy Nini, Nancy Richardson and Betty Morgan; her special nieces, Rebecca Littlejohn and Jane Smith and many other nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be David McDaniel, Richard McDaniel, Ron McDaniel, Don McDaniel, Joe Kyzar and Teague Burchfield.
