James Oliver "Dobber" Anderson, 75, a resident of Amite County, MS passed away on January 29, 2026 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center. Mr. Anderson was born January 7, 1951 in Magnolia at Beacham Memorial Hospital. He was the son of George and Elaine Anderson.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at Honea Anderson Cemetery on Hamp Lea Rd at 2 PM. Bro. Tommy Burris will officiate. Hartman Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother Gary Anderson; and a sister Charlotte Anderson.

He is survived by one brother George W. Anderson (Dianne) of Amite County; a nephew Gary Anderson (Cea); a niece Ginger Simpson (Josh); great nieces and nephew Lily & Landry Anderson and Seth & Lexie Simpson. Along with Wessie P. Pevey, Denise Powell, and numerous relatives and friends.
