James Larry Andrews, 74, of McComb passed away September 27, 2022 at his residence.

Visitation will be Friday September 30, 2022 at Hartman Jones Funeral Home 1801 Delaware Ave. McComb from 11:00 AM until Services at 1:00 PM.  Rev. David Fortenberry and Dr. David Millican will officiate.  Burial will follow in Hollywood Cemetery.

Mr. Andrews was born January 20, 1948 in McComb to the late Elmo and Inez Andrews.

He was a retired local insurance agent for 46 years.  He began his career with Independent Life and he later retired from Liberty National Life and Union National Life.  He took great pride in decorating his Pearl River Ave. home and median for Christmas every year.  He was well known for his work in the McComb Exchange Club always helping with Dixie Youth Baseball and Softball.  He was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and sound man.  He also loved fishing.  Mr. James was a friend to many in the community and you could always depend on him for a good joke and to bring a smile to your face.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elmo and Inez Andrews.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Judy Hughes Andrews of McComb; one son Michael Andrews (Leanne) of Summit; one daughter Jennifer Andrews O'Berry (Dustin) of Prairieville, LA; three grandchildren Haiden Andrews, Skylar Brown and Brynn O'Berry.
