James "Jim" Gaudin, Sr., 80, a resident of McComb, MS; passed away on January 20, 2022 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Hartman Jones Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until services at 3:00 PM.  Rev. Trent Bilbo will officiate.

Jim was born on August 19, 1941 in New Orleans, LA to Francis Gaudin, Sr. and Mercedes Gaudet Gaudin.  He was of the Catholic faith.  Mr. Gaudin served as the New Orleans Fire Department Captain for 29 years.  He enjoyed golf, painting and playing cards.  Jim enjoyed entertainment and eating, which goes hand in hand.  He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sharon Gaudin, his daughter Cindy Tharp, his stepson Michael Smith, along with several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his children James Gaudin, Jr. and Jody Blackwell, his brother Francis Gaudin, Jr., his sisters Carol Cheramine; Shelia Bergeron; and Sharon Keiser, his grandchildren Misty Stichomb and Nicole Castle, great grandchildren Aaron Stichomb; Evangeline Stichomb; Anthony Castle and Lynsey Castle, son-in-law Mark Tharp.
