Janet Davis (nee Kenna), age 98, of Mobile, AL, passed away on March 15, 2025.

Born in Summit, MS, she was the daughter of the late Jerry Watson and Marguerite Cain Kenna and sister to the late Marguerite Singleton.

In 1946, Janet graduated from Bowling Green Business University "BU" after attending junior college at Southwest Mississippi Community College.  While at BU, she majored in commerce and returned to major in education around 1964.  She married her college sweetheart, (Bob), a returning WWII Army Second Lieutenant.  They were married in 1949, and made a first home in Jackson, MS and shortly later in Kentucky.  They were happily married for 61 years in Kentucky and Virginia, enjoying winters in Naples, Florida.   Janet worked in accounting and later taught Math while raising a family.   Following retirement, they returned to Janet's homeplace in Summit, MS.

During her younger years, Janet was an all-around good athlete and student. She developed a passion for women's basketball and loved playing the sport in high school along with tennis.  Her love of sports and education has been passed down to (so far) eight great-grandchildren.

Janet was the beloved wife of the late Robert F. Davis "Bob"; and survived by her son and daughter-in-law Ken and Cindy Davis (Mobile, AL) and daughter and son-in-law Donna and Tim Lisle (Gladwyne, PA); adored grandchildren Rob Davis, Becky Wilson, Ellie Tattar, Stacey Harbaugh and Anna Lisle, and 8 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to her graveside service at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 20 at Woodlawn Cemetery.
