Jay Dean Hux, Jr., 23, a resident of Summit, MS passed away on April 22, 2026.

A visitation will be held April 24, 2026 at Faith Assembly of God from 4 PM until services at 5 PM. Bro. Eddie King will officiate. Hartman Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Jay was born on March 28, 2003 to his parents Jay Dean Hux, Sr. and Brenda Coleman. He was a smart and kind young man who loved his family deeply. He was an amazing father to his daughter whom he always made time for. He enjoyed playing video games. Jay will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother Sandra Coleman.

He is survived by his parents Jay Hux, Sr. and Brenda Coleman of Palestine, TX; his grandparents Mike and Carol Coleman ; his daughter Mia Wolf-Hux; his seven brothers Cameron Coleman, Jordan Coleman, Shawn Platt, Channing Clanton, Vernon Bessonett, Gabe Clanton, and Bryson Wilson; five sisters Christina Gibson, Samantha Platt, Dylan Platt, Ryleih Wilson, and Brookelynne Wilson; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
