Jennie Hart Ford, a longtime resident of McComb, Mississippi, passed away on May 20, 2023 to be with the Lord.

She was born on July 15, 1928, to Clara and Harrison Hart of Bogue Chitto, Mississippi.

She married Burl William Ford in 1947 and they moved to McComb in 1953.  Together they managed Doerr Furniture Company for more than 35 years.

In past years she was an active member of the McComb Junior Auxiliary, the Nautilus Club, and a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.  One of her greatest joys was playing bridge.  She achieved the level of Bronze Life Member from the American Contract Bridge League and sported many local bridge trophies over the years.  She was also involved with the children's activities, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and PTA.  She will be missed by many.

She is survived by her sister Peggy Hart Gardner, children Janet Smith, Eddie Ford, and Shelley Paulson; grandsons Matthew and Patrick Ford, Chris and Chad Paulson; great-grandsons Henry, Ralph, and Lewis Paulson.

Visitation and services to be held at Hartman Funeral Home on June 6.  Visitation from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. with service at 1:00 P.M.  Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery.
