Jerry L. Oliver , 78, of Vicksburg, MS., passed away on March 19, 2024, at his residence.

Visitation will be Monday March 25, 2024, from 10 AM until services at 11 AM at Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb. Dr. David Millican will officiate and burial will be in the Hollywood cemetery.

Jerry was born on November 22, 1945, in Winsboro, LA. He was the son of the late Thomas Oliver Jr., and Myrtis Browning Oliver.

Jerry was a retired police officer having served for years as a Deputy Chief for the McComb Police Department, he served in the National Guard and was of the Baptist faith. He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Moak Oliver and one grandchild, Levi "Colton" Nash.

He is survived by his daughter, Shannon M. Herring (Gaylen), one brother Ronnie Oliver (Kay), one sister Margie Llopis (Jose), two grandchildren, Madison Slocum (Trevor) and Skyler Raborn, with one great-grandchild, Blaze Nash with numerous nieces and nephews.
