Jessie Mae Hart, 92, a resident of The Aspen in Brookhaven, MS, formerly of Summit, MS; passed away on May 8, 2022.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Summit from 9:00 AM until services at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Hollywood cemetery.  Dr. Larry LeBlanc will officiate.

Jessie Mae was born in Wesson, Mississippi on September 8, 1929, to Quitman Munn and Lummie Strickland Munn.  She graduated from Wesson High School.

She was a member of First Baptist Church Summit.  Jessie and her husband Waide Hart spent many years traveling and living in various places while he served in the military.  They eventually settled in Summit, MS.  She loved cooking for friends and family, being outside, traveling, fishing, and gardening.  She spent many years keeping children for mothers who worked outside of the home, including her two grandchildren. She loved sports and helped coach Rotary basketball while their son Dale was young.   She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Waide Hart, along with five brothers, three sisters, and an infant sibling.

She is survived by her son Dale and daughter-in-law Rhonda Dickerson Hart of Summit; grandchildren Kayla Hart Boyd and husband Justin Boyd; Clint Hart, and wife Molly Hennington Hart; step-granddaughter Ella Haynes Kimbrell; great-granddaughter Joy Blake Boyd; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Hart, Donald Hart, Dennis Hart, and Clint Hart.
