Jimmy H. Decanter, 73, a resident of Magnolia, MS; passed away August 11, 2024 at his residence.  No services are to be announced at this time.

Jimmy was born on April 7, 1951 in Magnolia, MS to William F. Decanter and Mary Nell Dear Decanter.  He was a member of Magnolia United Methodist Church.  He attended South Pike High School, and worked for a short time as a patient transporter with Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center and in other hospital settings for over 30 years.  He enjoyed keeping up his residence and the yard as long as his health permitted.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, many aunts and uncles, along with a sister Winnie D. Palmer.

He is survived by his sister Sheila Anderson of McComb, two brothers John Decanter of McComb and Emmett Decanter of McComb, along with a host of cousins and friends.
