Martha "Jo" Barron, 75, of Summit, MS passed away June 9, 2024 at Beacham Memorial Hospital. No services are announced at this time. Hartman Jones Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
Jo was born in Pike Co, MS on October 19, 1948 to Wilford E. Case, Sr. and Olleen Roberts Case. She was a member of Shining Light Church. She graduated from Magnolia High School and was a great softball and basketball player. She also played for an elite team Somisco Oil Co. Jo worked as a supervisor for Kellwood Manufacturing for many years. She loved family and looked forward to "Sister Weekends" and time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband David M. Barron of Summit, two sons Brian Barron (Jill) of Montrose, Co. and Stevie Barron of Summit, MS, five sisters Diane Simmons (Obie) of Magnolia, Mary Cross of Magnolia, Frances Gibson (Ricky) of Longview, TX, Hilda Dunn (Joe) of Liberty, MS and Renae Forman (Issac) of Longview, TX, two brothers Wilford Case, Jr. (Ginger) of Longview, TX and Doug Case (Ruth) of Summit, MS, one granddaughter Michelle Guy (Jodan), three great grandchildren Mason Lewis Guy, Owen River Guy, and Scarlett Rose Guy, along with numerous other relatives and friends.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Beacham Memorial Hospital and Dr. Victor Anazia, who treated her like family, for the loving care given to Jo during her care there, along with her pastors Larry Dunaway and Pat Dunaway and the members of Shining Light Church.
