John W. “Dub” Stafford, 90, a resident of McComb, MS passed away on June 22, 2026 at Walthall General Hospital.

He was born on October 22, 1935 to the late Earl B. Stafford and Dixie Stafford.

Memorial service will be announced at a later date. Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb will be in charge of arrangements.

Dub was a very active man and a hard worker. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting. He was a Christian man. Dub was an active member of New Beginnings of Thomas, LA. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He never met a stranger! He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by parents, one brother, Jay Stafford, one sister, Mary Bankston, grandson, Steven Stafford and one daughter, Barbara Martin and one great-granddaughter, Madison Nicholson.

He is survived by his wife of 56 happy years, Joyce Keating Stafford of McComb; three daughters, Judy Crain of Franklinton, La., Cathie Duhon (Wilbert) of Orange, Texas, and Teresa Richardson (Stanley) of McComb; one son, John E. Stafford (Michelle) of Franklinton; two brothers, Loyd E. Stafford (Nancy) of Angie, La., and Tim Stafford of Franklinton; one sister, Linda Hartzog (Ronnie) of Franklinton; grandchildren, Michelle (Gary) of Jackson, Miss., Cynthia (Wade) of Franklinton, Krystal of Franklinton, Jonathan of Summit, Jason (Natalia) of San Antonio, Texas, Amy (Justin) of Hammond, La., Kammie of Franklinton and Rebecca of Franklinton; a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends, including special friends Bobby and Vickie Ginn of Tylertown and Bro. Keith Branch of Thomas, La.
