John W. “Dub” Stafford, 90, a resident of McComb, MS passed away on June 22, 2026 at Walthall General Hospital.

He was born on October 22, 1935 to the late Earl B. Stafford and Dixie Stafford.

Memorial service will be announced at a later date. Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb will be in charge of arrangements.

Dub was a very active man and a hard worker. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting. He was a Christian man. Dub was an active member of New Beginnings of Thomas, LA. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He never met a stranger! He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by parents, one brother, Jay Stafford, one sister, Mary Bankston, grandson, Steven Stafford and one daughter, Barbara Martin and one great-granddaughter, Madison Nicholson.

He is survived by his wife of fifty six happy years, Joyce Keating Stafford, three daughters, Judy Crain, Cathie Duhon (Wilbert), and Teresa Richardson (Stanley), one son, John E. Stafford (Michelle), two brothers Loyd E. Stafford (Nancy) and Tim Stafford, one sister Linda Hartzog (Ronnie), eight grandchildren, Michelle (Gary), Cynthia (Wade), Krystal, Jonathan, Jason (Natalia), Amy (Justin), Kammie, Rebecca and a host of great-grandchildren with numerous nieces, nephews and friends, special friends, Bobby and Vickie Ginn and Bro.
